As the leading deliverer of pre-hospital care training courses, MedTraining fulfils a critical role for health care providers across the UK. We offer flexible training solutions for both NHS Trusts and private medical facilities. Each course represents a key component of pre hospital care and is delivered by one of our fully-qualified medical professionals.
As one of the UK’s foremost pre hospital care training providers, we have much to offer delegates across the country. This is what you can expect from us…
Our Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care is a nationally recognised qualification accredited by QualSafe. It is a five-day course developed to give graduates a solid grounding in pre hospital care procedures. This includes catastrophic bleeding, managing an airway, managing fractures, medical emergencies and more.
The natural next step for anyone who has already passed their Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care, our Level 4 qualification is also developed and accredited by QualSafe. It expands upon the skills delegates learned in the previous course, giving them the competencies required to deal with major incidents, including fracture immobilisation, mental health problems, sick and injured children, and more.
Our Level 3 Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medicine course is developed and accredited by QualSafe. It is intended for health care professionals employed by a CQC-registered organisation, who are responsible for safely administering medication and monitoring its effects. Delegates will gain the confidence and knowledge required safely provide lifesaving medication during life-threatening or emergency incidents.
Our Level 3 Administration of Emergency Medical Gases course is developed and accredited by QualSafe. It is a half-day course that helps delegates develop the necessary skills and knowledge to safely administer emergency oxygen and analgesic agents. The course covers pre-operational inspections, monitoring the effects of the gases employed, and recording the patients’ progress.
Automated External Defibrillation (AED) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques are crucial skills for any healthcare professional dealing with pre-hospital care. This one-day course teaches delegates how to correctly operate an Automated External Defibrillator and how to perform CPR safely and effectively. It also covers a range of auxiliary topics, such as how to deal with an unresponsive subject.
Our Intermediate Life Support (ILS) course has been developed and accredited by the Resuscitation Council (UK). It is aimed at healthcare professionals who may be expected to act as first responders. During this one-day course, delegates learn to treat patients who have gone into cardiac arrest and how to maintain their condition while awaiting the arrival of a cardiac arrest team.
Whichever course you attend, your trainer will be an experienced and fully-qualified health care professional, with years of relevant, hands-on expertise in their field. Each aspect of the course will involve a situation they will have encountered first-hand. This ensures that your delegates receive nothing but the highest standard of training.
